I am a UK based photographer exploring a range of subjects related to the psychological sense of self. I have documented places that have undergone collective trauma, focussing on Eastern Europe to consider his own personal history and to explore how certain locations hold a sense of collective loss related to atrocity. I have also documented key Science research centres, asking the questions of what it means to be conscious, sentient and human.
I am a member of MAP6 Photography Collective, a group of 10 photographers exploring people and places and working towards group projects. The group has travelled as far afield as Russia, Lithuania, Finland and the Shetland Islands. As part of the group I carried out a range of projects, including looking at the Dark Sublime in North Wales, exploring the collapse and legacy of the Soviet occupation in Lithuania and documenting the City of Kauniainen, as part of the MAP6 Finland: The Happiness Project, looking into the findings of the World Happiness Report.
I have exhibited within the UK and internationally, including Finland. I have been featured in a wide range of photographic magazines, given interviews and public talks about my work and been the winner of the Portrait of Britain 2020, featured in the Hoxton Mini Press publication.
